We're pretty set on the name Lucia Grace for the little bambino I'm carrying...Lucia meaning Light and Grace...well, that's pretty self explanatory. For curiosity's sake, I wanted to take a quick poll and see how you'd pronounce Lucia. My favorite is Loo-see-ah...
((since I'm lazy and don't want to try to figure out how to post a legit poll, you'll just have to answer in the comments))

i say it the same as you. somewhere along the way I thought you decided on Lucy. Will you call her Lucy or did I make that up?
ReplyDeleteI say Loo-see-ah. Well, that's the only way I've heard it. FYI: LOVE the name.
ReplyDeleteI would say it like you do too. And I'm with Amy...I thought her name was Lucy. :)
ReplyDeleteOh her name is Lucy :D Adelaide insists she's Lucy Grace. I just wanted her full name to be Lucia Grace (the meaning is just a little more) but it took this long to talk Jordan into it.
ReplyDeleteI'd say it just like you explained. I like the idea of the longer name "officially" even if you call her Lucy all the time. Lucia is beautiful and matches your other kids little-bit-longer-and-more-formal names well too :)
ReplyDeleteI had a friend growing up who pronounced it the first way, Loo-chee-ah. But they were Italian and Canadian so who knows! ha ha!
